JPM had an active role in this year’s leading event for real estate professionals in Central & Eastern Europe – CEE Property Forum in Vienna.
The event gathered leading investors and developers from the CEE and rest of Europe, as well as senior economists, bankers and other industry experts.
Ivan Petrović, Senior Associate at JPM Real Estate Department participated in a panel discussion on Southeast Europe – Life beyond core CEE markets: investing in Southeast European markets. Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia.
During the panel it has been emphasised that Serbia has executed significant regulatory reforms in real estate sector in recent years and that these reforms improved Serbia’s position on the World Bank’s Doing Business ranking list. It is anticipated that such reforms should attract foreign investors in the future.
Serbia is monitoring the implementation of new regulations and identified shortcomings of the new regulatory framework are being addressed through ongoing dialogue between relevant stakeholders and investors.
