China Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Corp has won a concession to charge a toll on the highway it is constructing in Bosnia’s autonomous Serb Republic, the region’s government said on Monday.
The Banja Luka – Prijedor highway is 42 kilometers long, with two lanes in both directions, traffic island and an emergency lane. According to the project design, the highway section would consist of seven tunnels and 35 bridges, three interchanges and the infrastructure for a closed system of the toll payment as well as the system for traffic safety management and control. This is the first highway concession project in the Republic of Srpska.

The Motorway Concession Project entails development, design, financing, construction, completion, operation and maintenance of motorway, currently being one of the largest infrastructure projects/concessions in the South East Europe.
