Important News in the Field of Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property!

We are proud to share that the Court of Appeals of Montenegro has confirmed the ruling of the Commercial Court in a second-instance verdict, establishing a violation of the copyright of news photographer Stevo Vasiljević against the defendant, NGO "Radio Skala"

With this ruling, the court not only established the infringement of copyright but also prohibited the defendant from unauthorized publication of the plaintiff’s photographs on its website and obligated the association to compensate the plaintiff for both material and non-material damages, which represents a step further in the development of case law regarding the determination of the amount of compensation for material damages in cases of copyright infringement regarding photographs.

We are proud of our colleagues, Partner Marija Živković and associate Mina Čogurić, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge and dedication in representing the plaintiff in this case.

More details about the ruling and its significance can be found at the following link (in the Montenegrin language).
