New Law on Fees for use of Public Goods
On 7 December, 2018, National assembly adopted the Law on fees for use of public goods, which will be applicable from 1 January 2019, except for the provisions which are related to fee for protection and improvement of the environment, applicable from 1 March 2019, and provisions which are related to water pollution fee, applicable from 1 January 2020.
Novelties in Taxation of Salary and other Income of Engaged Personnel
On 7th December 2018 the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia adopted the amendments to the Personal Income Tax Law and the Law on compulsory social insurance contributions, which came into force on 16th December 2018.
IFRS 16 – Leases Entered Into Force, Serbia is yet to Adopt It
A new standard, IFRS 16 “Leases”, applies to annual reporting periods commencing as of 1 January. Still, Serbia has not yet transposed the standard, meaning that, for the time being, changes introduced by the new standard are not in force in Serbia.

NBS Took Over Supervision of Foreign Exchange Oprations from Ministry of Finance
